Exposure compensation can be set from -2 to +2. There are 8 creative effects, scene auto selector that automatically detects the scene, 16 manually selectable scene modes, a smart portrait mode (with skin softening, foundation makeup, soft, and vividness settings), and auto (program) mode where you can set the white balance, continuous shooting (on or off), ISO speed, and auto focus (AF) settings. Video options allow you choose the resolution (maximum 720p, 25fps), set the autofocus mode to single or continuous, and switch wind noise reduction on and off. In the setup menus you have the option to apply a date stamp, switch electronic VR on or off, plus set the time and date.
